I’m not one that jumps on every new gadget that comes out, but I must say… I LIKE the new iPods (just released yesterday), and if I had money to waste, I would get me one of these.

Key word there is “waste.”
iPods are really cool and the new ones are some of the best yet, but they have always been, and continue to be, over-priced. I was looking into a nano or shuffle recently because I need one for when I work out and thankfully I came across the Cube and Cube2 by mobiBLU. Look it up on Engadget or elsewhere - it’s incredible. So many more features than the nano or shuffle and it costs less. Looks cool too.
I would love to own an iPod, but the price would have to be closer to half of what it is for me to even consider it. The battery life is really lame too, when you consider the battery life on a PSP for example. In the iPod’s defense, it is really optimized for music as the first priority and video second, where the PSP is optimized for video and games first. The PSP is a little bulky, but it was cheaper than an iPod when I bought it (even more so now) and it does so much more stuff.
…sorry, I’m in a rambling mood I guess.

Very true. The only problem is that I’m a complete Apple lover, and I love the iPod I’ve got. It hasn’t given me an ounce of problem in the over-a-year I’ve had it. My problem is not as much “I’m going to spend such-and-such on an iPod”… it’s more like “I’m going to spend such-and-such on an iPod when I’d MUCH rather be saving up for an iMac.”
LOL.
PS: YOUR COMMENT IS LONGER THAN MY ENTRY!!

That’s because your entry is like two sentences. SHAME ON YOU, MELI!
I saw those just yesterday and stared in dead shock when I saw how much the classic iPods can hold now. When I bought mine I paid $250-$300 and it only held 30GB. The larger one held 60GB. Now the smallest classic you can get is 80GB!! And for the same price too. Crazy.
