Shabbat is just lovely for stopping and taking time to do all of the things you had been putting off during those crazy weeks when you don’t have any time at all. As you can see, I had a little fun with the site layout. Actually the inspiration came from somewhere else, but I coded it and made it readable and made it mine. So I like it!
I also stumbled across my old xanga. Well, I knew it was there the whole time, obviously, but I took off the automatic redirect that gets you from there to here so that I could actually go back and read things. Even though I was a little more shallow and scatterbrained back then… well, it’s not by much! I was actually a much better blogger over there. I don’t know why I withhold so much more on this site, but I’ll try and stop. Back then, I had something interesting to say nearly every day! And so it stays for archival purposes… and for laughing hysterically. I’ll try to get the xanga before that up as well… if I can log in. Xanga’s been giving me problems today.
So let’s see. This weekend we had some friends up from Texas, and it’s been fun hanging out with them. We watched both Zorro movies within the past week. I know, I know, late as usual, but hey, my parents are strict about movies!
Hey, wait! I have actual news! My manager told me that I might be getting a raise starting Monday… a fifty cent raise! I’ve only been there for about two and a half months, so this is pretty good. I may complain about the hours and all, by the way, but I honestly do like my job. And besides, I have pretty much normal hours this week, mostly eight-ish to four. Wish I had that much luck through Sukkot!
Tomorrow after work I’m running to Walmart and getting another ethernet cord for my poor computer. That’s pretty much what connects my computer to our home “network” so that I have internet access. The problem is that my cord is so worn out and half broken from being unrolled and rerolled (it’s not long enough to plug it in permanantly) and the tab that keeps it in my computer is broken. So I’m going to get a new one, a longer one, and so then I won’t get disconnected every five to ten minutes. It’s awful!
I need to finish my laundry so I can go to bed!

I’m loving the new layout, Meli!! It’s really cool! You are so talented. I especially like the green thingie around the comment link. How creative!
I use to use xanga as well (xanga.com/hankydoodle). And I agree with your last post on yours, it’s way overrated. I prefer having my own site. Even blogspot is better than Xanga. And myspace, which I loathe. -laugh-
Congrats on the raise! You sound like you’re in the same boat as my mom. Like the job, but hate the hours.
Anyhoo… hope we can talk soon on AIM! It’s been a while since I have seen you on!

Hey Meli,
I usually visit Autumn-Sky, but I followed your link from there to here. I didn’t know you ran this place. I love this layout, especially the green star-ish comment thingy. hehe It reminds me of those award ribbons you get for like 1st, 2nd 3rd etc… place. I noticed in your About section that one of your favorite authors is Lori Wick - MINE TOO! Not many people on the internet read her stuff or admit to reading her stuff. Have you read the Yellow Rose Trilogy? Those three books are some of my favorites of her work. Anyway, I was just stopping by to say hey - take care.

Hey, It has been a really long time since I commented or even have been around. I’ve been touring with Michael Rood on his Jonah Code tour. Well…actually the tour is over now, and I’m sad because I had a wonderful time. But now I’m moving to Israel and going to be his personal assistant along with Rashel Kamerling to help him finish some books and charts, so that is my excitment. Please keep me in your prayers though, because I’ve never done anything like this and I’ll be working really hard. Anyway…just thought I’d let you know what was going on. Probably won’t be around Camp yeshua forums very much either. So we’ll talk to you later. I don’t think I have your email, but mine is darlenechar@msn.com so please send me yours so we can keep in touch.
