Colors

Stuff on the house is going quickly, thank goodness. I’m so excited; I wanted to move in yesterday, if you know what I mean. The old kitchen floor has been torn up, and the entire kitchen is painted. This week we’re going to paint the rest. Want to see what colors I’ve (finally) chosen for my room?

Room ColorsMy monitor is notorious for displaying colors a little different, so I assure you that they look nice on my computer at least! But the rest of the house ended up being mostly blue and green and purple… cool colors, and so I went with warm colors. Well, the bathrooms are outrageous too… Mom and Dad’s is going to be yellow with daisies and such, and mine (well, the one I’ve adopted) is going to be bright green and blue and orange and yellow and generally outrageous. I will post pictures as soon as I get some, I promise.

Other than that? Life is life.

EVERYTHING!

I’m going through blogging withdrawal. BUT! Look at the site! Haha, I won’t claim that it looks cool, but at least this time it’s my own design. Just a little something different. Coolest part? You can drag the navigation box anywhere you’d like…

And now here’s the exciting part… I’m moving!

Now calm down. I’m not moving back to PA, I’m not moving to Texas or Colorado or Canada or anywhere, don’t worry. I’m moving north… about a hundred and fifty feet.

Back in June, apparently, there was a small fire in the house behind us (which is a lot like ours– same floorplan, but bigger and laid out a little better). It didn’t burn the house down or anything, but the smoke caused so much damage that they had to totally gut it. They pulled everything out… carpet, cabinets, plumbing, WALLS… the only things they left were the foundation, the outside walls, and the roof. They totally redid the inside… it’s like a brand new house.

It’s a lot like ours, like I said. There are four actual bedrooms instead of three like my house, and where our carport had already been converted to another bedroom and a mudroom, the carport in this other house is still a carport. Our house has 1.5 bathrooms; the other house has two full.

And so you know what? We’re buying it. Actually, the house is already in our name. Morgaged. We have keys. It’s OURS.

I have never EVER lived in a house that wasn’t rented. Do you have any idea how AWESOME this is?

The most crazy thing is seeing God’s hand in all of this. Last Friday afternoon, Dad offhandedly heard that the house was for sale. Saturday morning, Mom mentioned to me that I should pray for her and Dad’s wisdom, because they were looking into it. Sunday, we talked to the owner.

Monday evening we had keys. And we are planning on being moved in by Hanukkah.

ISN’T THAT AWESOME??!

Nothing. Really. Nothing.

I love relaxing shabbats. Makes the whole week seem better, seriously.

Well, until Sunday comes crashing down on you again. But we won’t think about that.

Made another layout… you can see it here. My next project is a total site redesign instead of throwing around these dime-a-dozen wordpress themes. Honest. And then it shall be more fun. For me, anyway!

Most of the people that visit this site aren’t even into the whole design thing, so I don’t know why I bother. Show-off-itis, maybe? I don’t know.

Something really really exciting that’s become a “when” and not an “if” but I can’t tell you what it is yet. When it becomes a definite “when” I’ll be sure to tell you. Very exciting.

I HAVE NOTHING TO SAY.
